| There's a growing opinion on IAC that the best rock music nowadays is coming from the Indies. Are you going to be part of the revolution or part of the resistance? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() There is some stuff in the mainstream that I like but for a lot of what the majors are putting out on the radio and on MTV/VH1 is lacking something. Music just loses something when some suit that's not even part of the demographic he's trying to sell to dictates to an artist what to put out. It's a shame that there is so much talent in the majors whos music is often dumbed down to meet the labels perceptions about the public's taste in music. As it turns out, there is a plethora of talent that is not signed to a major or even to any label at all with music that is often better than what you can find on the radio because it has not been dumbed down.
This is a collection of songs by independent artists that easily stand along side mainstream rock radio and in some cases blows it away. |
