Liz Tsikkos and Dirk Hanekom formed the alternative rock band, Colour Cold in early 2003. In 2005 the band recorded demo tracks at a local studio and received a massive following with their first radio airplay of 03:05am. In late 2007 the band completed their debut album, Safe from Silence and performed to a sold out local venue in 2008 while numerous songs from the album featured on local and international radio in that year. Songs like "Someday Somewhere Someone" took the no.1 spot on independent internet rock radio stations. 2008 proved to be a tough year as Dirk and Liz decided on a new approach moving the band forward and creating a bigger more dramatic sound. Demo versions of "Tonight I'm Everywhere" featured on internet podcasts and campus radio and the band once again enjoyed a successful launch and great reviews of their performance, but this change of pace no longer reflected the original style of Colour Cold for all the members so the band called it quits in January 2010. Today Liz works from her home studio writing and recording music for Film and Television, and enjoys songwriting in the Adult Contemporary and Country genres.
