Was born in a hospital and lived in a city. Moved to the burbs and liked it fitty-fitty. Made some new friends and was in a couple bands. Bought recording gear - I think I spent a couple grand. Started writing songs though they weren't very good. Tried it everyday till I thought I understood. After a while it seemed things were getting better. I liked to experiment but man it took forever. As the years passed and technology improved. I felt more refined and was finding better grooves. Getting to the point and trying to keep it simple. I could finish up a tune without going mental. It's still a little slow when you do it all yourself. The concern for me now is all the songs on the shelf. Excuse me now, friend, so I can go back and play. The songs wihin these pages are basically where I am today.
SODIUM CITY Fun little instrumental track. Melodic verses, a synthy bridge and cool double leads on the outro.
RISE ABOVE A short guitar duet...

LIFE ROLLS BY This one happened pretty quick with some re-writes in the middle section. A happy, hopeful melody with some darkness in the middle, just like life rollin' by I guess.
BEGINNING OF THE END Another hopeful, kinda happy/sad melody, this time a middle section that's more uplifting.
OUT OF THE MACHINE Cool little melodic guitar thing. Little acoustic, little electric. Straight Out of the Machine.
WHAT NOT This was an open chord guitar riff that had been in the back of my mind for years, influenced by certain bands you may pick up on. Went through several remix stages. Finally arrived at what is it today... What Not.
ELEPHANTS Two songs for the price of one, really, on this one. First half is a rock progression of varying time signatures. Second half is just a cool melody over a chord progession that was taken from an old bass riff off a DAT machine. "Elephants" became the title when only the 1st half existed. Don't remember why. The 2 pieces of music were fused together because by themselves...there were no ideas to expand on them as they were. But together I thought they complimented each other.
COMMERCE SONG A fun little ditty you can do a jig to. Or not. The song was born out of an auto re-dial on the phone. I adapted the dial tones to the guitar and quickly wrote the changes surrounding it. Special thanks to Joe Devenney for the cool solo.
COOLASUWANNABE Cool as you wanna be- say it with a bad accent and that's how you spell it. Originally an acoustic fingerpicking type song I decided to rock it up a little. Some of the fingerpicking remained in the verses. It would adapt well to an unplugged version but there's no real plans for that. It's as cool as you want it to be....
