Discography: "Wrapped Up In the Blues" (2011) "Orphans and Singles" (2010) "Born A Genius" (2010) "This City" (2009) War Child (Holland) Compilation CD (2007) "Song Tourist" EP (2006) "A folk/roots GEM". SoundProof Magazine "Pippus is a refined tunesmith with serious pop hooks". Vancouver Province Newspaper "'This City' sounds like the midnight musings of a man coming to terms with the outcome of his life." Earshot Magazine, April 2/09 "Born a Genius is Pippus’ second full length album. It appears that he has exorcised a few of his demons after the lonely pre-dawn lament of his first album, and he’s got stuff to say. Opening with “Where I Come From”, lays down believability for the rest of the songs on the album. “Where I come from we believe in what we say” sings John. He has a gift for making us believe that he’s been down road and around the block, and is still kickin’ it." Earshot Magazine, Sept. 17/10 Favorite venues played include: The Bluebird Café (Nashville), Tractor Tavern (Seattle), The Yale Hotel (Vancouver), Canon’s Gait (Edinburgh) and Bruxelles Bar (Dublin). Shared the main stage with Jackson Browne in Green Bay Wisconsin during the 4th Annual Steel Bridge Song Fest.

1/27/2010 9:19:00 PM From Bryon Tosoff's "Music is Truth" station: Le Cadre Photo Le Cadre Photo (Blurry Photograph) is beautiful rendition of a John Pippus composition which has been translated and sung so eloquently and superbly by Chrystelle Nammour. Subtle and elegant guitar fingerstyle picking provides lovely support for the wonderful voice of Chrystelle. This song should be on more stations ,but perhaps now with this boost at music is truth it will take some more notice and get the respect that is due. It is a supremely beautiful work which in French is so sweet. John's songs are full of depth and his lyrics are profound and filled with insight and understanding few can put into such words as he does. well done John for having someone else take your song and make it even more special, what an honor. added to station 6/16/2009 1:04:14 PM
